FAQ
Direct answers about the website product and the separate Telegram interface.
How do I create a face-swap video on standin.me?
Open the Action Hero creator. The scene is already selected. Explicitly confirm the consent notice, upload one supported adult selfie, and wait for an actual completed render. The private watermarked preview appears on the website; Telegram is not required.
What is included in the free website preview allowance?
When web intake is enabled, the configurable default permits up to three successful watermarked Action Hero previews per secure guest actor in a rolling 30-day window. Only a preview that becomes available consumes that allowance. Queue, provider, storage, and internal technical failures do not consume it. Safety rejection also does not consume it, but repeated rejected attempts are rate limited independently.
What does payment unlock?
When the website Stripe offer is configured, one purchase unlocks the clean version of the exact Action Hero result you already previewed. It is not a bundle, pack, subscription, reusable credit, different-result entitlement, or Telegram credit. The configured amount and currency are shown before purchase.
Can the success page unlock my result?
No. The browser return cannot grant access. Standin waits for Stripe's valid signed webhook, records the durable order confirmation, and unlocks only the result bound to that order and secure guest actor.
Is Telegram required?
No. Website creation, optional purchase, and delivery happen on standin.me. Telegram remains available as a separate native experience. Website and Telegram entitlements are not shared, and the bot does not offer external card, Stripe, crypto, or NOWPayments purchase buttons for digital renders in this phase.
What selfie works best?
Use one clear, front-facing adult selfie with even lighting, no sunglasses, no heavy filters, and no other people. The web server verifies the actual file content and checks extension, type, size, dimensions, animation, decoding, safety, and duplicate-attempt limits before queueing.
How long is the Action Hero result?
The canonical Action Hero source is approximately five seconds. Queue and render time depend on current capacity; Standin shows queued, started, completed, failed, rejected, expired, and capacity states rather than promising instant output.
Is Standin safe?
Standin requires an explicit, versioned acknowledgement and binds it to the secure actor, flow, and Action Hero scene. Automated moderation and age-related safety controls run before rendering. No minors, non-consensual use, deception, exploitation, illegal use, or abusive impersonation is allowed. Read Trust & Safety.
Do you keep my selfie or result?
Inputs and results remain private. Unpaid previews and paid results use separate, deployment-configured retention periods, and the applicable deadline is displayed with the private result. You can request deletion from the web result flow. Payment, consent, and safe operational records can outlive media cleanup where needed; they do not contain face hashes, embeddings, or public media URLs. See Privacy.
What happens if rendering fails?
A queue, provider, storage, or internal technical failure does not consume the successful-preview allowance. Standin does not promise an automatic refund or replacement render. Confirmed purchases are reviewed under the Terms and applicable Stripe process.
Can I upload a different target video?
Not in this website MVP. The web flow is pinned to the provided Action Hero scene. Telegram may expose its own available native flow separately.
How do I report misuse or get support?
Message @standinmebot with enough non-sensitive context to locate the issue. Do not post private media publicly just to report it. See the reporting steps on Trust & Safety.
